Since I was born, my sister, Amy, and I have been unusually close for being so far apart in age. Eleven years. That’s our age gap. A part of me thinks that might be the exact reason WHY we are so close. I don’t know, but either way, it’s been a blessing my whole life. Once she got married to Eric 10 years ago, I fell in love with him and stayed with them in South Carolina every summer until they finally moved to VA two years ago. In the midst of all of the celebrating that they would finally be down the street from us, I didn’t realize how much I would miss those summers at their home in SC with them. The time that I spent with them was always my favorite part of the year. And I am not exaggerating.
Well, now I’M married and Amy fell in love with MY husband, just as I did hers, and we seem to mesh perfectly for double dating and just.. doing life together. So, this summer we decided to have the ultimate double-dating adventure and go on vacation together. Originally, we were going to venture a tent camping vacation… with three young children. Um. No. Not the wisest decision. So about a week before we left for vacation, we found a deal on a house in Southern Shores, North Carolina. Right near the beach.
Our vacation was so great together, the weather was amazing, and we laughed the whole time. These images are obviously what you get when you take a photographer with you on vacation. PICTURES. And right on the same beach that we relaxed on all week.
It’s a new twist, but I’m glad to have my summers back with my sister, brother-in-law, oh-so-cute nieces, Alora, Adalynne, Ann-Marie, and the newest member, my husband, David.
I hope you enjoy!
