Finished my first mini session day EVER yesterday with my father-in-law, Darryl. Yes. Yesterday. For those of you who didn’t notice, it was 38 degrees and the wind was cutting. I’m impressed that we only had one cancellation. The wind plus the cold weather made it almost unbearable to be outside for longer than ten minutes. It was legitimately painful. At one point, I realized that I couldn’t feel my feet at all. Darryl couldn’t feel his fingers.
You’re probably thinking that the wind ruined everything. WRONG. It actually kept us all laughing pretty much the whole time. It would go like this: We’d get them in position, everyone is still, looking perfect. And all of a sudden, the wind comes through and almost knocks everyone over. BAM. Instant laughter. Their hair looks like they haven’t brushed it in a week and they can’t feel their faces. But hey, their laughter makes this awkward situation, picture perfect. And it was so much fun. We were able to get some really great shoot time in and everyone looked very, very happy.
It was super fun having a photo-shoot with Darryl. He is so so much fun! I know that we will be doing this again in the future. We even got some shots of each other at the end. He’s so cute.

Such a beautiful family!
These are my parents!! It was so sentimental taking pictures of them. They are so sweet.
These guys will melt your heart. They are such a great couple! And their dog… is strong and almost pulled me away a few times.
My sister and family! 🙂 Eric is the pastor of my church!
Eric was trying to embrace the cold. Or. Something. hahahahahaa. This kills me.
I love you, Darryl! Thanks for such a great day.
Such a cool idea to team up with your father in law!
Thank you! It turned out being a lot of fun!
