Make Memories | Tuesday Treats

tuesdaytreatsThere are a few things I want to talk about today. One, being HELLO EVERYBODAYY! (: A HUGE apology for disappearing from the face of the earth last week! It’s good to be back.

This past week was a FULL one for me and my family! David and I moved into a new house with my sister, brother-in-law, and adorable nieces. We have been moving boxes around and doing all the things that you have to do when you pick up your life and move it to another home.

While moving everything from under my bed, I found my favorite box. Well, it hasn’t always been the SAME box, but I’ve always had SOMETHING to put all of my keepsakes in. Keep in mind, I’m a girlll so half of my keepsakes are pieces of notebook paper colored on by my friends in middle and high school. But the other half are (no surprise) pictures.

I got to go through a slew of memories sitting in my new room and talking to my niece about them all. It’s like reading a detailed book about your life that brings you right back to those wonderful times again.

When my cousin, Devon, died a few long months ago, every picture ever taken of him turned into gold. No matter what he looked like in them. They are cherished memories that I and my family will only have again by looking at them and remembering his life.

It might be a little too morbid for you, but it makes me excited to take new pictures because you never know when the last picture of you will be taken. And your life is precious and one of a kind.

Pictures are SO SPECIAL. And I’m not saying that just because I’m a photographer. These lives we live are so short. And one of the ways we can remember and celebrate them is by taking pictures at every stage in life.

Make memories in each day, month, year. Save them. Capture them.

And best of all, let me show you the beauty in them (;
